Addition        

68+79=147

First minus 1 from 68 it becomes 67. Then plus that one on 79 then it becomes 80. Then plus the numbers 80+67=147.So the answer is 147.

Subtraction.

80-38=42

First add 2 on 38 so it becomes 40.Then add 2 on 80 as well so it becomes 82. Then minus the numbers so the equation will become 82-40=42 so the answer is 42.
