Pie and Area Conclusion
1. What were the main mathematical concepts and ideas that you learned or discussed in class?
We learned how to find circumference, radius, diameter, perimeter and how to find area.
2. Describe a mistake or misconception that you and or your classmate. How did you learn this mistake?
I struggled with finding the radius but soon found out that radius is half of a diameter.
3.What new vocabulary did you learn?
Circumference: Circumference to diameter. You probably noticed that since diameter is twice the radius, the proportion between circumference and diameter is equal to π: C/D = 2πR / 2R = π This proportion (circumferenceto diameter) is the definition of the constant pi. It is used in many areas, including physics and mathematics.
