Summary

In Romeo and Juliet Act 1, Scene 5 the summary begins with a quick recap on Act 1, Scene 4.

Act 1, Scene 5 begins with the massive feast happening in the Capulet Estate. Romeo adeventures the banquet and is spotted by Tybalt, Tybalt then talks to his cousin about fighting Romeo then and there, however Capulet decides to le things slide as Romeo is doing no harm and has been heard to be mannerful. Romeo then spots Juliet and approaches her, they begin to talk and within minutes they begin got kiss. After the kissing and massive banquet Romeo and Juliet finally learn of eachothers bloodline learning that they’re sworn enemies. 

Why are we reading this text?

We are reading this text because to learn about why Romeo and Juliet is classified as a tragedy, this is because other love stories are not classified on tragedies.

In the video Denzel Washingtons Life Advice,  Denzel Washington explains how his life and upbringing was when growing up. At the start Denzel talks about how acting was for him when he was younger. Denzel later talks about how his life and choices went from med school to acting. Denzel states that everything takes time and it will get better eventually. 

In whose interest is this text?

This text is mainly focused on graduation students but also can be in interest to anyone who needs source of motivation or wants to see what life had been like for Denzel Washington. 

What kind of language is used in the text?

The kind of language used in the text is strong descriptive words and also words that deeply describe his feelings during the moments he had lived through.

Text Purpose: To inform us of 3 ways to become more resilient.

In the video Lucy Hone talks about becoming resilient, it begins with Lucy Hone talking about her story of what happened to her daughters, after this she talks about what she thought about when the incident happened. Lucy Hone talks about 3 ways to get over problems, 1st Shit Happens, 2nd is to select your attention, and finally is it Harmful or Hurtful. The purpose of this text was to explain ways to become better at being a resilient person.

My Culture

My Culture

This poster is what I define as my culture. I define it as my culture because I was born and raised in Ireland for a few years of my life, then migrated to New Zealand. The Philippines represents the roots of my heritage. I have put in the National flowers of the Philippines and Ireland which are the shamrock/clover which represents luck and Sampaguita which represents many things like love and purity. I have also put in hobbies that I believe make me who I am, like singing, working out, and playing sports. This poster also presents parts of the culture like what they wear occasionally, animals native to the country, and foods native to their home country.

Finally, the house represents how all of these things create my special place called home.

Coaching

What Makes a Good Coach?
Self Awareness - A good coach understands himself and the outcome of each decision he can make.

Specific - A Good coach can give specific detail to players and situational decisions.

Feedback - Coaching comes with giving and receiving feedback, a good coach will listen to the advice and given and also reciprocate advice if needed.

Planning - Coaches should have a planned regiment for the players, whether its activities or warmups.

Knowledge - Coaches usually have a knowledge of who is a strong and who is a weaker player.

Empathetic - A good coach has empathy and can listen and understand where players come from.

Positivity - Good coaches can bring advice and critical feedback without being harsh and too deep about it.

Resources - A good coach brings or obtains the resources needed for the session. 

Are you a good coach?

Why? I believe I am a good coach as I am firm when it comes to rules, I am also easy and nice enough to approach for advice. I also listen to the advice given to me. I have the potential to be a good coach as I can understand the game and emotions that come in.
