What Makes a Good Coach?
Self Awareness - A good coach understands himself and the outcome of each decision he can make.
Specific - A Good coach can give specific detail to players and situational decisions.
Feedback - Coaching comes with giving and receiving feedback, a good coach will listen to the advice and given and also reciprocate advice if needed.
Planning - Coaches should have a planned regiment for the players, whether its activities or warmups.
Knowledge - Coaches usually have a knowledge of who is a strong and who is a weaker player.
Empathetic - A good coach has empathy and can listen and understand where players come from.
Positivity - Good coaches can bring advice and critical feedback without being harsh and too deep about it.
Resources - A good coach brings or obtains the resources needed for the session.
Are you a good coach?
Why? I believe I am a good coach as I am firm when it comes to rules, I am also easy and nice enough to approach for advice. I also listen to the advice given to me. I have the potential to be a good coach as I can understand the game and emotions that come in.
