For maths my group has revisited past problems. Our task has been to answer 2 questions provided.

  1. What were the main mathematical conepts/ideas  that you have learned or that we discussed? The main mathematical concept I learned was that problems like this are patterned out.
  2. describe a mistake or misconception that you had/what did you learn from this mistake? I learned not to over count as when I was doing the pattern I kept recounting the whole pattern.

Home Economics

For this semesters Home economics we have learning about cooking healthy and balanced meals with a good amount of nutrition and vitamins.

What we have made so far?

  • Pita Pockets Ingredients: 1 Pita Casing, Lettuce, Cheese, Tomato, Grated Cheese, 1/4 onions, 1t oil, Sauces - Tomato, BBQ, Mayo, Hummus and Chilli and 70g of Chicken

  • Chicken Stir Fry - Ingredients: 70g Chicken, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 3-4 pieces of broccoli, 1 zucchini, 2T sesame oil, 1 pkt 2min noodles.
All of these meals have a very good nutritional balance I recommend trying all of them.

My favorite meal we have made was the vegetable nachos as it had good taste and was very enjoyable, the other meals we had made were also enjoyable but they didnt satisfy me.

Skellig CL

1. Using an example from the film, describe and explain what you thought of the acting? (E.G when skellig was eating the insects on himself towards the start of meeting them) I thought that part was good acting as the scene was used to entice the audience.

2. Why did they have Michael’s dad burn down the garage compared to it being pulled down? Too build more suspense for the film and make the audience worry.

3. Why do you think they had it that Grace died? To give Michael a special moment and remember the saying grace said.

4. What’s the significance of Michael’s hand getting better after their first ‘flight’? It was used too show that Skellig has special powers about him and it gives purpose for what comes.

5. Why do you think they had the conflict between Leaky and Michael more than in the book? To build a worry like when Leakey followed Michael into their secret area it helped to create an unsafe atmosphere and shake the audience.

Japanese Jjikoshokai

For Japanese we had to create a jikoshokai/ self introduction including where we are from, who we are, and how old we are.
This is mine

What were doing in English?

Image result for hunt for the wilderpeopleIn English we are making a 5 paragraph essay about the film we have studied which is called Hunt for the Wilder-people.

I have never did something like this before so it is quite uncomfortable but I think the Paragraph/Essay experience will be good in the coming future. Creating the paragraph is also quite boring.

In our other teachers English class we are reading a book called the Cay and analysing the details that make it a good book.

Pie and Area

Pie and Area Conclusion
1. What were the main mathematical concepts and ideas that you learned or discussed in class?
We learned how to find circumference, radius, diameter, perimeter and how to find area.

2. Describe a mistake or misconception that you and or your classmate. How did you learn this mistake?
I struggled with finding the radius but soon found out that radius is half of a diameter.

3.What new vocabulary did you learn?
Circumference: Circumference to diameter. You probably noticed that since diameter is twice the radius, the proportion between circumference and diameter is equal to π: C/D = 2πR / 2R = π This proportion (circumferenceto diameter) is the definition of the constant pi. It is used in many areas, including physics and mathematics.
